A couple weeks ago I booked a family portrait session at Devil's Backbone. I asked them if they would like to hike up a little higher than normal and they were more than willing! It was such a perfect night, there was no wind, the temperature was pleasant since we were in the shade. We started around 7:15 and hiked up a ways before we stopped at our first shoot location.

After snapping a couple pictures of the kids we moved on up the trail. At one point the trail forks and we look the higher road that leads to the look out point. We walked up a ridge and we saw this great background option!

In addition to posed pictures, I also like to capture some candid moments with families. I think these pictures show so much personality and make great mementoes to look back on. Honestly, these guys had me laughing so hard I could barely hold the camera still!

Since this was originally a children's picture session I took a few more of the kids at this spot. Aren't these kids awesome!??

They really make my job easy, and I love watching them grow!

Now, after we were finished picture taking this awesome family decided they wanted walk to the look out point. We were rewarded with this amazing view after the sun had set. Colorado sure is beautiful, isn't it? I am pretty spoiled with the locations I get to use as backgrounds. God is so great!!
